5 Crystals to Elevate Your Collection
Do you want to elevate your crystal collection, but don’t know where to start? Luckily, here at Flash Mountain we have many varieties of beautiful crystals that will make you look like a crystal collecting pro. A few of these can only be found at Flash Mountain, so let’s “dig” right into this checklist.
Haystack.
Haystack Clusters are extremely rare formations that are exclusive to Solution Quartz. These are clusters that form in crazy formations, with crystals growing on top of each other in every direction. There can be up to thousands of tiny, needlelike points forming these crystals, giving them a mesmerizing look.
2, Faden Quartz
Faden is a German word that translates to “thread.” You can find a prominent white line in these crystals caused by the earth shifting during the crystal’s formation. The shifting fractures the crystals and the healing process creates the thread inclusion.
3. Tabular Quartz
Tabular crystals or “tabbies” are beloved in the collecting community because of their unique shape. The root of the name “tabular” comes from tablet. Tabbies are fully terminated, yet flat crystals. At Flash Mountain, you can find especially stunning tabbies that tend to take on multiple terminations or double termination. In my experience, Fadens are commonly found in a tabular formation.
4. Cookeite/ Cookeite-Included Crystals
Cookeite is a rare, lithium mineral that is found in very few places in the world. It can be found in multiple color varieties, including green, blue, gold, brown, and white. It is formed in balls and has a sheen similar to Mica. Here at Flash Mountain, many of our quartz crystals are coated in cookeite balls and some even have cookeite inclusions.
5. Crown Points
Crown Points are points with up to 100 tiny termination, most commonly on both sides. This growth pattern is exclusive to Flash Mountain due to the solution that Solutions Quartz grows in. I can assure you the amount of detail in these points will leave you in awe.
