Age Requirement

All participants must be 18 years of age or older. A valid photo ID is required at check-in.

Physical Requirements

Private Pocket Digs take place on uneven mountain terrain and require hiking, bending, lifting, and digging.

This experience is not recommended for individuals who are:

• Pregnant

• Recovering from surgery

• Experiencing neck, back, leg, or foot injuries

• Living with heart or cardiovascular conditions

• Living with epilepsy or other conditions that may affect balance or safety

• Unable to safely hike or work on uneven terrain

Safety

Your guide's instructions must be followed at all times.

For everyone's safety:

• Guests must remain with their guide at all times.

• Visitors may not explore or collect crystals outside designated digging areas.

• Areas marked with red danger tape are strictly off-limits.

• Flash Mountain reserves the right to end a visit without refund if safety rules are ignored or guests behave disrespectfully toward staff or other visitors.

Group Size

Each reservation includes one private crystal pocket for up to two adults.

Private pockets are limited to two participants only. If your party has more than two people, a second private pocket must be reserved. Please contact us before booking to check availability.

We are not offering large group reservations at this time.

Cancellations & Refunds

• Cancel 72 hours or more before your reservation for a full refund.

• Cancellations made within 72 hours of your scheduled dig are non-refundable.

• If you arrive and decide the experience isn't for you, you may request a full refund within the first 20 minutes, provided no crystals have been removed from the property.

What to Bring

Please bring:

• Closed-toe hiking boots or sturdy shoes

• Water and snacks

• Sunscreen and bug spray

• A 5-gallon bucket or sturdy bag for your crystal finds

All digging tools are provided. Guests are welcome to bring their own basic hand tools, but powered equipment is not permitted.

Your Crystal Finds

Everything you find during your private pocket dig is yours to keep.

Property Information

Flash Mountain is a private residence and working crystal mine.

• Entry is by reservation only.

• Guests will receive gate access instructions the evening before their dig.

• Please do not arrive more than 30 minutes before your scheduled reservation.

• Unscheduled visits are not permitted.

Amenities

For your convenience, a porta-potty and running water are available at the dig site.

Additional Information

• You may return to your vehicle during your reservation as needed.

• Military aircraft and nearby gunfire are common in the area and should be expected during your visit.

• We Provide

  Your guide will provide the tools needed for your private pocket dig, including specialty equipment when needed to safely access and work crystal pockets.

  Recommended Items

  To make your experience more comfortable, we recommend bringing:

  • Hiking boots or sturdy, closed-toe shoes with good traction

  • Work gloves

  • Eye protection (recommended)

  • Water and snacks

  • Sunscreen and bug spray

  • A 5-gallon bucket or sturdy bag for your crystal finds

  • A small spray bottle to rinse crystals in the field (optional)

  • A garden kneeling pad or small mat (optional)

  Bringing Your Own Tools

  You're welcome to bring your own basic hand tools if you have favorites, including:

  • Pickaxe

  • Screwdriver

  • Garden hand rake

  • Root cutters

  • Shovel

  • Rock bar or pry bar

  • Deer antlers, wooden digging tools, or a sturdy wooden spoon for delicate crystal work

  Powered tools and equipment are not permitted unless supplied and operated by Flash Mountain staff.

If your party has more than two adults, please contact us before booking. We'll check availability and let you know if we're able to reserve additional private pockets for the same day.
